NASA Academies

The three VSGC NASA-connected programs offer Virginia high school students free STEM learning experiences with the opportunity for top-performing students to attend a week-long residential Summer Academy at a NASA facility.

• 🚀 VASTS – Virginia Aerospace Science & Technology Scholars: For 11th–12th graders, focusing on space exploration, engineering, and NASA missions, with a potential Summer Academy at NASA Langley Research Center.
• 🌎 VESSS – Virginia Earth System Science Scholars: For 11th–12th graders, focusing on Earth science, climate, satellites, and remote sensing, with a potential Summer Academy at NASA Langley.
• 🛰️ VSCS – Virginia Space Coast Scholars: For 10th graders, focusing on aerospace, engineering, and missions at NASA Wallops Flight Facility, where the Summer Academy is held.
