Virginia Space Grant Consortium (VSGC) will nominate three graduate students who attend higher education institutions in Virginia and meet the eligibility criteria to be considered for selection to the Institute on Teaching and Mentoring. The 2021 Institute will be held October 28-31, 2021 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia. NASA’s National Space Grant program will sponsor 10 students to attend this prestigious event. Virginia Space Grant can nominate three students!
The Institute on Teaching and Mentoring (http://www.instituteonteachingandmentoring.org), has become the largest gathering of minority Ph.D. scholars in the nation. The Institute is hosted by the SREB-State Doctoral Scholars Program. This powerful annual conference unites minority and underrepresented scholars, mentors, and faculty members from over 40 states and more than 230 institutions for four days of connecting, teaching, mentoring, knowledge and skill development, and opportunities.
