DOCUMENTS
    • National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS)
Identifies more than 3,300 airports that are significant to national air transportation and thus eligible to receive Federal grants. Includes estimates of the amount of money needed to fund infrastructure development projects to bring these airports up to current design standards and add capacity to congested airports.

The Order also discusses the FAA project database that supports these plans and its use for preparing the Secretary of Transportation’s biennial NPIAS Report. It replaces Order 5100.39A, Airports Capital Improvement Plan, and Order 5090.3, Field Formulation of the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS)
