How to Receive College Credit

To receive credit for this course:

  • You must first apply to Virginia Peninsula  Community College. Even if you have taken a college course or completed a dual enrollment course through another community college, you must apply to VPCC.
  • You will need to submit your high school transcript.  You must have a minimum of a 3.0 to qualify for dual enrollment.  Please note you do not have to take VESSS for college credit.  Traditionally about 50% of students participate in VESSS without taking the college credit option. In college, grades do not transfer only the credits.  You must maintain a “C” or higher to earn the 4 credits.
