Master Teacher Application Deadline: October 25, 2016.
Teachers are required to submit an online application by the October 25th deadline. (NOTE - the application will indicate that the Letters of Recommendation are due by October 28. This gives those that apply on October 25th an additional two business days to supply letters of recommendation. Please try to apply prior to October 25th.)
Those chosen to participate in VASTS will receive an email notification by the first week of November. Mandatory Online course training for the Master Teachers will occur at the VSGC office on Friday, November 11, 2016. Please contact VASTS program staff in advance if you have questions about this training session. We do reimburse school divisions for substitute teachers.
Once you have submitted the on-line application, you will receive an email confirming the submission.
Two letters of recommendation are due on or before October 28 (but applications are due by 11:55 PM on October 25) and should be provided by a current or former supervisor, department chair, school administrator or someone who can attest to the applicant's professional qualifications.
Once the applicant has submitted their application, the system will email the specified individuals instructions on how to submit their on-line letters of recommendation. Please inform them that they will be receiving an email from firstname.lastname@example.org with these instructions. All letters of recommendation must be submitted via the on-line application system. Letters of recommendation submitted in any other manner will not be accepted.
Important Note: It is the responsibility of the applicant to follow up with the people who are providing letters of recommendation to ensure the recommendations are submitted electronically by the October 28 deadline. The applicant will received an email notification when each of these letters is submitted.
